Meet Petricia

I’m Petricia, the photographer behind Kansas City Boudoir by Petricia.

I created this studio because I believe every woman deserves the opportunity to see herself through a different lens—one that is confident, beautiful, powerful, and completely her own.

My approach to boudoir photography is centered around comfort, connection, and trust. I know stepping in front of the camera can feel intimidating, especially if you have never done anything like this before. That is why I take the time to guide you through every part of the experience, from wardrobe planning and posing to expression, movement, and the small details that make a photograph feel natural and effortless.

You do not need to know how to pose. You do not need to have a certain body type. You do not need to wait until you feel “ready.” My job is to create an environment where you can relax, feel supported, and gradually step into a version of yourself that may have been there all along.

Photography has always been more than just creating pretty images for me. I am drawn to the way a photograph can shift someone’s perspective. There is something powerful about watching a woman arrive feeling nervous or unsure and then seeing her confidence build throughout the session. That transformation is one of the reasons I love this work so much.

My style is elegant, feminine, polished, and a little daring. I love beautiful light, flattering angles, luxurious details, and images that feel timeless rather than overly posed. Every session is personalized, because no two women are the same and your photographs should reflect your personality, your style, and the way you want to feel.

At Kansas City Boudoir by Petricia, privacy and professionalism are incredibly important to me. Your session is a personal experience, and I treat it that way. My goal is to make the studio feel like a space where you can be yourself without judgment, pressure, or expectations.

Some clients come in to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, wedding, or personal milestone. Others book simply because they want to do something bold and meaningful for themselves. Whatever brings you here, I want you to leave with more than beautiful photographs. I want you to leave remembering how it felt to choose yourself.

For me, boudoir is not about becoming someone different for the camera. It is about revealing the confidence, beauty, strength, and personality that are already there.
